 Workshops and Trainings

Introduction to Pranayama

Interested in breathing freely? Tapping in to the power of your breath to focus your mind and relax your body?
Pranayama is the practice of specific breathing techniques to aid the mind-body connection, as well as benefit your overall health and emotional wellbeing. In this workshop we will briefly learn the basic anatomy of the breathing mechanism, and then explore some of the various breathing exercises taught in pranayama practice, how they are used, and how to execute them.

Pranayama Part II: Diving deeper

This workshop is a deeper dive into the practice of Pranayama, yogic breathwork, to promote freedom in your body and mind. We will be exploring some more intense practices, including Bandhas (energetic locks) and Kumbhakas (breath retentions) as well as others.

PLEASE NOTE: this workshop is open to anyone who has taken Intro to Pranayama, has a regular pranayama practice, or is a certified yoga teacher.

Introduction to Chakras

This workshop provides an introduction to the 7 Chakra system. Chakras are subtle energy centers within the body that express the embodiment of spiritual energy in the physical body. They are focal centers for meditation, and can be thought of as archetypes for understanding human behaviors and qualities. We will explore their place in the practice of yoga, and how we can use them in our physical practice to facilitate personal growth and clarity.
